WW: Paris Flower Market Tin
I created this ReCycled Storage Tin using the FF image here. Not sure what this tin started life as, I think it would be perfect in a boudoir for jewelry or to store pins or buttons in a sewing room. I was inspired by photos from a Paris Flea Market.
I found a scrap of ombred pink ribbon for the rose and a pretty piece of Vintage jewelry for the flower center. What did you make?

Freebie Friday: Flower Fairies Part III
Here are the last two images in the Flower Fairy series. I have saved my favorite for last. I love the pensive look of the Pansy Fairy. I still have pansies blooming in the container on my front porch. I planted them in Fall after I pulled out the summer annuals. They have enjoyed our milder than usual St. Louis winter.
Hope these inspire you for a Weekend project.

Vintage Lace Bird
I was cleaning up the studio from the Holidays and came across some faux birds that were damaged in shipping. Somewhere along their journey the birds had gotten wet and the dyes on the feathers had bled and the over all effect was not pretty. I thought about tossing them but decided to experiment. I removed all the "feather mess" and had a useable form that I then decoupaged newsprint to. I found some Vintage lace that I cut up and stiffened with glue/water mix. After the new body, wings and tail dried over night I glued everything together and added two rhinestone eyes. Pretty cute for all ReCycled materials.

Weekend Wrapup- LED Fairy Candle
This is one of the projects that I worked on over the weekend, a LED Candle using one of the Fairy Images featured on Freebie Friday.
I scanned the image on to vellum using a HP inkjet printer. I then sprayed it with a matte fixative, trimmed it to size and glued it in place using spray adhesive. I used vintage lace and appliques to add some texture. I finished with some pearl jewelry findings.
Here it is turned on.
I love these LED candles, I think that they can be very boring as is. Lots of creative possibilities!

You may remember the ReDesigned stand from my Holiday Decor. I dressed up for Spring with potted Hydrangeas and a few birds.

Nutcracker Holiday
I decided to display my Vintage Nutcracker collection with a ReCycled/ ReDesign flair this year. I found this Vintage Library Ladder at a Tag Sale in the Fall and knew immediately what I would do! I think that they look very Regal.
I bartered this Fabulous Tiered Stand from my friend Gail. She is a very talented ReCycler/ReDesigner too. I have a chair that she did that I use at my desk. I dressed the pedestal with a Vintage Russian Scarf that I purchased when I was in Russia (at the time it was the Soviet Union) I love how the bright colors accent the colors of the Nutcrackers.
At the top are the characters from the Nutcracker Ballet.
I am sharing this on Funky Junk Interiors.
