I created this ReCycled Storage Tin using the FF image here. Not sure what this tin started life as, I think it would be perfect in a boudoir for jewelry or to store pins or buttons in a sewing room. I was inspired by photos from a Paris Flea Market.
I found a scrap of ombred pink ribbon for the rose and a pretty piece of Vintage jewelry for the flower center. What did you make?
I used one of my favorite French Script fabrics with this Vintage frame. Created some fun magnets using vintage buttons, The Ribbon Rose is made from Vintage silk ribbon and a piece of black jet jewelry.

Having fun with all the leftover vintage lace and findings that I gathered together for a wedding this fall. I found these great B&W print flowers and they inspired a "travel" wreath of vintage images I found @ The Graphics Fairy.
Printed the images on some vanilla colored card stock. The Eiffel Tower and French script reminded me of my travels to Paris.
These look like French love letters to me. The images are pinned on so you could change them for your own postcards and travel photos.
I am adding another Wreath version since this new style is so popular. Once again used lots of leftover bits and pieces of Vintage lace and jewelry. This time I ReUsed some old millinery roses that I over dyed with coffee to give a distressed Glam feel.

If you have a wall of mirrors that you don't love but love how the mirrors expand a small space and add reflected light here is a project that addresses the problem. With the help of a talented carpenter and faux painter I had this series of arches installed OVER the mirrors. We used 1/2 inch MDF and different molding pieces applied with construction adhesive to achieve the arches. Then decorative plaster was applied and some of the finer detail was etched in the wet plaster. After drying the entire installation was base coated with latex paint and antiqued.

I found one of my tableclothes came back from an event with a stain that would not come out. I have had it ready for a project in the ReCycle pile for over a year. I took part of it for this project and dyed it orange and created this fun Autumn pumpkin. I cut a piece of grape vine that I saved from spring pruning for the stem and a little moss and a left over leaf from a faux flower that I used the bloom in an arrangement. I always keep the left over leaves to stick on other projects.

I fell in love with this Bee image I found @ The Graphics Fairy. I upcycled a wood container I found in the trash at a local florist, it was missing a foot and was a hideous green. I added a wood ball for the foot, painted the container black and white, then using the transfer method I added the image. I wanted everyone to see the container before adding the floral element.

I used my favorite Bee image from The Graphics Fairy to create this candle. I was experimenting with a new vellum paper to print the image on. My previous printing on vellum and spraying with an archival sealer often created blurry images. This vellum is perfect!
I fell in love with this image @ The Graphics Fairy and have been waiting for just the right project to use it. I found this great weathered wicker basket and as soon as I got it back to the studio I had a Eureka moment! I think they are a perfect arranged marriage.
Here is another version of Mirror Art that I create using an existing mirror. I previously posted about artwork using mirror spray paint. Here I rubbed the mirror finish off the back and adhered an image that I found @ The Graphics Fairy using Mod Podge. This technique is a great reuse of vintage mirrors that have hazing or scratches in the reflective surface. Actually the worse the better as it creates an antique look! 
This wood tray was a perfect candidate for an art transfer. After priming it white I painted and distressed the rim and outside plus the metal handles Satin Black. I painted the center Navajo White. NOTE: This method works best with an Eggshell or Satin Finish to the paint. If the paint finish is to glossy the image will not adhere correctly.
I found this vintage frame that was in pretty bad shape but I loved the relief on it, reminded me of lace. I haven't done any of my Magnet Board projects in cream so I thought "Why not give it a shot"? After painting it Heritage White I started going thru my vintage fabrics and nothing Wowed me. I am working on a wedding and making all the flowers out of vintage lace and jewelry/buttons. (more on that later) The linens for the wedding are going to be burlap so.... here it is!

You may remember this image I posted last week that I created using 2 fabulous graphics I found @ The Graphics Fairy. I had created it for a Wedding Program. Over the weekend I found this wood clock and had to do something fun with it. It was natural dark brown with 3 hooks on the lower part, probably for keys. I painted it Navajo White did the transfer method previously posted HERE and antiqued it with a new brown glaze. Tres Jolie!
I wanted a touch of Summer in the guest bathroom so I created this fun Beach inspired artwork. I took some shadow box frames and sprayed them white, covered the backing pieces with some leftover fabric from a tye dye project, and mounted some fantastic mini watercolors collected from St Lucia and Barbados & Seashells. The Abalone and Starfish were in my Gran's shell collection. The shells with the minis are from the islands in the art.
I love how the tye dye fabric looks like water and really sets off the shells!
This is one of my favorite art projects. I Mod Podged a fabulous Eiffel Tower image I found @ The Graphics Fairy to the back of this vintage crystal pendant. I attached this golden silk ribbon for hanging, or you could set it on some leather bound books. C'est Bon!and
I saw a variation of this in a book using old french doors as a bookcase and thought I would give it a try with an old window. I wanted more shelves so I turned the window sideways and built a simple box out of left over 1x6 pine from our house reno project. I had some left over beadboard that I used as the backing. I loved the distressed look of the window so that I left as is. Painted the 1x6 a color I call "Restoration Hardware Gray" that I hand mixed from some left over paints. I use this color all the time for a vintage barnwood look. I am going to take a sample to my local Sherwin Williams and have them match and mix a quart. I lightly distressed the beadboard and TA DA all done. It looks fabulous on the original 1880's wood walls @ The Design Haus. It really pops and would be a great way to showcase a collection.

Found this great music cabinet at a garage sale. It was painted a sickly green color when I found it. I used a great spray primer by Design Master and then a coat of black satin. The hardest part was the hand rubbed finish with steel wool! I wanted that black oiled finish, problem is it wears out your arms. You can find this piece @ The Design Haus. As Deb would say "It has great bones".
I found this great wood plaque in an Estate Sale box, 12 various designs in all! It has taken some time to pair the right graphic with each wood piece. You can see a previous pairing HERE. I thought this Chocholat Store graphic from The Graphics Fairy would bring to mind the Vintage Store Signs that a proprietor would hang outside their entry. I used the transfer method described HERE. Now I want a Bon-Bon! 
This was a marriage of two things that both started life as light sources. The base with the hen was part of a broken lamp that Deb @ The Design Haus gave me to play with. The top was part of an Early Americana repro candle holder. Paired together with a long prethreaded rod, some black spray paint, and some gilding; this piece now looks so French Country. You can see it now in the Kitchen @ The Design Haus.
I found this great piece of broken ironwork and had to find something fun to do with it. I added the funky WINE letters in a gilded finish that covered the repair perfectly! This would be a great Father's Day present for a Dad with a passion for wine. It is hanging in the Wine Room @ The Design Haus just waiting for the right home.
