If you have a wall of mirrors that you don't love but love how the mirrors expand a small space and add reflected light here is a project that addresses the problem. With the help of a talented carpenter and faux painter I had this series of arches installed OVER the mirrors. We used 1/2 inch MDF and different molding pieces applied with construction adhesive to achieve the arches. Then decorative plaster was applied and some of the finer detail was etched in the wet plaster. After drying the entire installation was base coated with latex paint and antiqued.

Perfect for an Art Project. Print her up in Black & White and then hand color with pastels, colored pencils or water colors. She would look picture perfect for a collage too.
Here is another Apiary in Black & White for all of you that love Bees and Bee paraphernalia. Imagine a cluster of Pillows with this being larger and small Bee pillows around it on a bed or sofa.
I found one of my tableclothes came back from an event with a stain that would not come out. I have had it ready for a project in the ReCycle pile for over a year. I took part of it for this project and dyed it orange and created this fun Autumn pumpkin. I cut a piece of grape vine that I saved from spring pruning for the stem and a little moss and a left over leaf from a faux flower that I used the bloom in an arrangement. I always keep the left over leaves to stick on other projects.
I like how it looks on this wrought iron candlestick. A bunch would like great in an old basket.
I found a whole file full of crowns and wanted to share 2 more. I really like the crown and crossed swords image. This would make a perfect header for a regal document.
I fell in love with this Bee image I found @ The Graphics Fairy. I upcycled a wood container I found in the trash at a local florist, it was missing a foot and was a hideous green. I added a wood ball for the foot, painted the container black and white, then using the transfer method I added the image. I wanted everyone to see the container before adding the floral element.
I found this great pair of Fall Florals. They would be perfect for a set of vintage frames or for greeting cards.
I love the soft, subdued colors. These would look fabulous with wood tones, black or cream. If you are a fan of Cottage Chic these would be a perfect fall addition.
I thought some pretty flowers would be a welcome sight after all this heat. The grass here in St Louis is brown and the trees are dropping leaves. We have had the 4th hottest July on record. If I can't have the real thing than I might as well have a vintage print!
Sorry for the long delay, been so busy getting the Reno House staged. Sale sign went up and I have time to work on art projects again. Here are 2 wonderful Butterfly images. Great for framing or using for crafts. Maybe try the Butterfly Clip Project!
