Nutcracker Holiday

I decided to display my Vintage Nutcracker collection with a ReCycled/ ReDesign flair this year. I found this Vintage Library Ladder at a Tag Sale in the Fall and knew immediately what I would do! I think that they look very Regal.

I bartered this Fabulous Tiered Stand from my friend Gail. She is a very talented ReCycler/ReDesigner too. I have a chair that she did that I use at my desk. I dressed the pedestal with a Vintage Russian Scarf that I purchased when I was in Russia (at the time it was the Soviet Union) I love how the bright colors accent the colors of the Nutcrackers.

At the top are the characters from the Nutcracker Ballet.
I am sharing this on Funky Junk Interiors.

Wedding Memories Wreath

How do you capture all those memories from your perfect day. Try a custom made Memory Wreath from JMG Design.

This wreath has clusters of flowers that were originally on the Wedding cake and Pew Bows.

This is one of the Wedding Favors made by the Bride's Grandmother. Also there is one of the custom Designed Monograms by JMG Design.

One of the Save the Date cards and a piece from the Invitation.

The memorabilia is pinned with pearl pins and can be changed or added to when ever the couple wishes. Pictures from the Honeymoon, 1st Anniversary can also be added.

This is truley a great way to ReCycle the elements from your special day.

Shabby Chic Memo Boards

I did some new versions of the popular Shabby Chic Memo/Magnet Boards. I was inspired by Old Victorian Frames and all the ornate craving. I ReCreated that carving using Vintage lace and jewelry.
Close up of the corner trim using vintage lace and pearls.

Of course I used Burlap to cover the metal. Takes away some of the formality.
