Freebie Friday: Flower Fairies Part III

Here are the last two images in the Flower Fairy series. I have saved my favorite for last. I love the pensive look of the Pansy Fairy. I still have pansies blooming in the container on my front porch. I planted them in Fall after I pulled out the summer annuals. They have enjoyed our milder than usual St. Louis winter.
Hope these inspire you for a Weekend project.

New Freebie Friday, Flower Fairies

Welcome to Freebie Friday. Friday will be the day that I post Free Images that you can use in art projects or make decor for your home or to sell. I thought Fridays would be perfect to inspire projects for the weekend. Enjoy!

Love these images of a pair of Flower Fairies. I found these in one of my Costume Research files marked "Midsummer" from one of my productions of the Bard's play. I am going to make up some Greeting Cards for Spring, how about you? More images in this series coming soon.

Vintage Floral with Bee

Love this vintage Floral, especially because of the Bee. This would make a great part of a collage for a greeting card. Or just print and frame.

MidSummer Vintage Art

This is from my Shakespeare Research Folio. Great Vintage Instant Art.

Lily Botanical Instant Art

I thought some pretty flowers would be a welcome sight after all this heat. The grass here in St Louis is brown and the trees are dropping leaves. We have had the 4th hottest July on record. If I can't have the real thing than I might as well have a vintage print!

Butterfly Instant Art

Sorry for the long delay, been so busy getting the Reno House staged. Sale sign went up and I have time to work on art projects again. Here are 2 wonderful Butterfly images. Great for framing or using for crafts. Maybe try the Butterfly Clip Project!

Magnetic Memo Boards

I have all this great vintage and upholstery fabrics left over from design projects and came up with a way to ReUse them. I adhere them to metal backing and put them in found frames. Some of the frames get a make over with paint and gilding. Some are fantastic just as they are.

I make the magnets from broken jewelry and odds and ends of vintage buttons, bits & bobs.

These are the perfect way to display mementos and photos that you don't want those tacky tack holes in!

Mirror Art & ReCycled Frame

Found these two frames at the local "Thrift-R-Us" and liked all the detail. One was a sickly green and the other a shiny gold. A little spray paint some antiquing glaze and they are both ready for some artwork. I found a great Butterfly graphic for one @ The Graphics Fairy and some vintage keys for the other.

But... that's not all folks. I decided to distress the glass for the butterfly print too. First I sponged on some bronze paint on the reverse side of the glass and then spritzed it with bright silver spray paint. I then rubbed off some of the paint with steel wool. Instant Mirror Art.
